Vanguard Weighs in on Battery Trends
“We’ve identified that there’s a gap in the marketplace of people that are powering units anywhere from 0.5 kWh up to 20 kWh, and we believe there’s a big opportunity there.” – Chris Davison

As battery technology continues to develop, the heavy equipment and vehicle industries are taking notice. In a recent interview with OEM Off-Highway, Chris Davison, Senior Manager Marketing, Engines & Power at Briggs & Stratton said “We've identified that there's a gap in the marketplace of people that are powering units anywhere from 0.5 kWh up to 20 kWh —we believe there’s a big opportunity there.”
The launch of the Vanguard Commercial Lithium-Ion Battery Pack was designed to meet that unfulfilled power need. Our lithium-ion solution allows OEMs to parallel the packs to achieve their specific power needs. “Although we first launched with a 5 kWh 48V pack, as we move forward, and as more products and more customers are being developed, those packs can be customized to an application,” Davison adds.
Contributing to a larger conversation with several industry players, Davison weighs in on the unique advantages the Vanguard battery offers the industry. Read the entire OEM Off-Highway story here.
