Vanguard® Talks New Swappable Battery Technology With Equipment Today During World of Concrete®
MILWAUKEE (January 25, 2022) – Equipment Today caught up with David Frank, VP of Global Commercial Sales at Briggs & Stratton, during World of Concrete 2022. In the conversation, Frank showcases the Lithium-Ion 1.5kWh Swappable Battery Pack and the exciting applications OEMs will be able to pursue with the technology.
In addition to highlighting how the technology will give OEMs more options for the future, Frank walks through how the Swappable Battery Pack’s charging station works and how quickly the batteries charge between uses.
During the conversation, Frank also gives a sneak peek at a complete hybrid system concepted, made up of a Hatz Flywheel-Integrated Hybrid Generator and a Vanguard Lithium-Ion battery pack.
This power solution is ideal for applications that will be left out in the field for an extended period of time, as the generator is used to recharge the battery.
