Vanguard® 400 Powers The Ultimate Towable Forklift
Built on Experience
Aaron Beiler, the founder and President of Equipter, owned his own roofing replacement business for 15 years. Keeping the philosophy of work smarter, not harder top of mind, they found a need for large-scale debris removal that would be efficient and effective. The first debris container units were exclusively used by the family roofing business, and they quickly realized the impact this equipment had on their productivity and profitability. What started with a drivable debris container quickly grew to drivable dump trailers, portable dump containers, mobile cranes, and now a towable forklift.
The revolutionary, remote controlled all-terrain forklift, Tow-A-Lift, is ready to solve two problems users face with comparable tools: transportability and ground disturbance. The unit is easily transported from location to location by hitching directly to a pick up truck, eliminating the need for a trailer or a specialized cargo truck. It’s equipped with two large tires that distribute weight to move 3,500 pound palletized loads over manicured grounds with minimal ground disruption.

Powerful Partnership
When choosing the power source, Equipter knew they needed a tough, innovative and reliable solution. They chose the powerful Vanguard® 400 single-cylinder horizontal shaft engine. Designed based on customer feedback, this engine has exceptional power, starts easier and requires less maintenance than competitors. Featuring our innovative TransportGuard® technology, crews won’t have to worry about turning off the fuel line to stop fuel and oil from mixing while towing the unit. The 3-in-1 control lever turns on the engine, opens/closes the fuel line, and adjusts engine speed. Together, the Tow-A-Lift and our Vanguard® 400 engine are ready to tackle any job in any condition.
Equipter's research and development team are also excited about new products that Vanguard has recently released. This refinement of Vanguard's product line and exploration of new products allows the team at Equipter to consider the possibilities of our current and future model capabilities.
Versatility
Like Vanguard commercial engines, the Tow-A-Lift is versatile and not confined to serving one specific industry. Since the prototype model debuted in October of 2023, Equipter has heard from people in a broad range of industries who could immediately visualize how the Tow-A-Lift could help their business. It can be used for transportation and delivery, hardscaping, remodeling, event services, agriculture, and many other niche industries.
