David Frank and the Rental Rundown: How Briggs & Stratton Has Evolved Since the Acquisition by KPS Capital Partners

For Construction Pros’ latest episode of the Rental Rundown, editor Alexis Sheprak interviewed David Frank of Briggs & Stratton. Frank has held the title of Global Vice President of Commercial Sales for Engines and Batteries for the last five years.

Briggs & Stratton was acquired by KPS Capital Partners in the fall of 2020. When asked about the improvements Frank has seen since the acquisition by KPS, he highlighted the company’s large focus on technology, being a provider of power, and the focus on commercial power solutions. Briggs & Stratton has 110+ years of expertise in power application and diversifies its products to both commercial and residential sectors. Frank also notes improvements in the commercial sector and a greater focus on technology since the acquisition.

The customer experience is one of the company's biggest improvements, thanks to Briggs & Strattons new “Commitment to Win” strategy. Second on that list comes the focus on the customer, where Briggs & Stratton takes pride in being responsive and easy to work with, as well as being solutions oriented.
