Vanguard Quick Change Challenge Promotion Terms & Conditions

1. The promoter is Briggs & Stratton, LLC located at 12301 W Wirth St. Wauwatosa, WI 53222. The organizer’s contact information is vanguardpower@basco.com.

2. The promotion will be run at the 2025 Equip Expo per the dates/times outlined below:

  • 10/22/2025  from 12:00 P.M.- 5:00 P.M. EST.
  • 10/23/2025 from 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. EST. 

There will be one winner per day, per category (dealer and landscaper profession) for 4 total prizes.

3. Rules of engagement are as follows:

  • Equip Expo badge must be scanned

  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older

  • To be eligible, participants must qualify as either a dealer or landscape professional, employees and immediate family members of Briggs & Stratton, LLC or any other outdoor power equipment manufacturer are not eligible

  • One entry per day; winners are only eligible to win once. 

  • Consent to use your image in marketing content (captured with iPad)

  • Quick Change Challenge:

    • Contestant starts timer

    • Remove oil drain hose, let it hang (cap stays on)

    • Remove oil cap and filter, set on table

    • Remove air filter cover, set on table

    • Unlatch and remove air filter, set on table

    • Install new air filter and relatch 

    • Put air filter cover back on and tighten completely 

    • Install new oil filter

    • Put oil cap back on, tighten completely 

    • Reattach the oil drain hose

    • Contestant stops timer

  • Briggs & Stratton staff will determine if all steps were completed as outlined. 
  • In the event of a tie, winners will be determined using skills-based criteria. A designated judge will evaluate each tied participants performance based on the quality of their process and/or end result. If a tie still remains, participants will complete a short quick related to Vanguard engine service, maintenance, and operation, and the highest score will determine the winner. 

  • Winner is not required to be present at the end of the day; prize will be shipped to your provided address

  • Winners to be contacted via email by October 28, 2025 to confirm shipping address and shirt size. Winners may also be announced on Facebook, Instagram, and/or LinkedIn accounts.

  • If the valid winners can not be contacted or do not claim the prizes within 3 business days, Briggs & Stratton, LLC reserves the right to rescind the prizes and pick another winner. 

  • Giveaways to be shipped to winners by November 7, 2025

  • Briggs & Stratton is not liable for any damage to clothing or for personal injury that may occur during participation in the challenge. As a condition of entry, all participants will be required to complete and sign a product liability waiver prior to taking part in the challenge.
