Vanguard® Experts Talk Products and Technology at Equip Expo 2022

Nick Moore, Director of Product Management – Electrification at Briggs & Stratton, and Tom Billigen, Training and Development Manager for Vanguard, caught up with Sarah Webb, Editor of Green Industry Pros magazine, at Equip Expo 2022 to discuss the latest products and technology innovations from Vanguard.

Moore provided insight into the growing trend of electrification within the landscape industry and how Vanguard is growing its battery pack offerings to provide OEMs with even more scalable power to meet a wider range of application needs.

He highlighted the company’s new 3.5kWh*, 5kWh* and 7kWh* batteries that all feature a diecast casing design that adds rigidity and reduces vibration and shock response from the pack, as well as the innovative 1.5kWh* Swappable Battery Pack. Engineered to provide users with an efficient, versatile and reliable battery power option, the Swappable Battery Pack’s exchangeable design allows users to swiftly swap freshly charged packs from application to application, reducing downtime and increasing productivity.

Billigen highlighted the latest Vanguard engine solutions that were on display in the Briggs & Stratton booth including the CXi Series V-Twin Engine featuring EFI and ETC technologies, the Vanguard Oil Guard™ System and the Vanguard BIG BLOCK 40.0 Gross HP** EFI/ETC engine.

The CXi Series was engineered to maximize uptime and keep users on the jobsite longer. With best-in-class debris management and a significantly larger automotive-style air filter, dirt and debris are kept away from the engine, extending its life even in harsh conditions. The BIG BLOCK 40.0 Gross HP engine is the most powerful engine in the Vanguard lineup and also features EFI and ETC technology for better fuel efficiency and improved overall performance.
