David Frank Joins Diesel Progress Podcast to Discuss Vanguard™ Investments in Electrification and Automation

David Frank, Vice President of Electrification for Briggs & Stratton, joined the latest episode of the Diesel Progress podcast to discuss how Vanguard is growing its industry-leading electrification portfolio to include more modular power and the significant investment the company has made in automation at its Advanced Battery Manufacturing facility in Tucker, Georgia.

From improved safety and efficiency to an increase in production capacity, the addition of automated equipment throughout the manufacturing process at the Tucker facility will enable Vanguard to be more flexible and better serve the growing needs of OEM customers.

“With the multiple [battery] packs we offer… we've got to have the ability to build five or five thousand packs depending on what our customers’ demands are. On top of that, we want to make sure that we're able to support the battery power equipment that our customers have out there with a different level of service,” Frank said. “The automated equipment allows us to minimize human error…and have complete flexibility but do it in the safest way possible.”
