Vanguard University Promotion
Terms & Conditions

  1. The promoter is Briggs & Stratton, LLC located at 12301 W Wirth St, Wauwatosa, WI 53222. The organizer’s contact information is vanguardpower@basco.com

  2. The promotion will be run as per the dates/times outlined below:

    • Promotion Start: Tuesday, July 29th, 2025 at 10:00 AM CDT

    • Entries Close: Tuesday, August 12th, 2025 at 11:59 PM CDT

    • Winners To Be Chosen and Contacted: Wednesday, August 13th, 2025

  3. After Tuesday, August 12th, 2025 at 11:59 PM CDT, entries will not be accepted.

  4. Participants can complete up to 5 Vanguard courses for 10 entries to win.

    • 1 course = 1 entry

    • 2 courses = 2 entries

    • 3 courses = 3 entries

    • 4 courses = 4 entries

    • 5 courses = 10 entries

  5. All courses that the entrant completes must be Vanguard battery related courses. Any of the following courses count:

  6. Anyone in the outdoor power equipment industry who lives in any of the 50 states of the United States of America can participate.

  7. Individuals must be a member of Vanguard University. If an individual is not a member of Vanguard University, they can sign up here for free before entering the promotion.

  8. Briggs & Stratton LLC will pick 5 winners on the morning of 8/13/2025 who complete at least one Vanguard University course on time.

  9. Reasons for exclusion:

    • If the course completion for entry is AFTER 11:59 PM CDT on 8/12/2025.

    • Participants who provide false personal details.

    • Participants who tamper with contest mechanisms (I.e. Using a computer system that allows the user to enter the competition more than once).

    • Participants who live outside of the USA.

    • If you are a Briggs & Stratton LLC employee or family member of a Briggs & Stratton LLC employee.

  10. The prize package giveaway includes:

    • One Vanguard-branded hat
    • One Vanguard-branded Contigo insulated mug
    • One pair of Vanguard-branded safety glasses
    • One Vanguard-branded lanyard
    • One Vanguard-branded grey polo (Shirt size will be collected when contacted on Wednesday, August 13th, 2025)

  11. No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable, prizes are subject to availability and Briggs & Stratton, LLC reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

  12. If the valid winners cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 3 business days, Briggs & Stratton, LLC reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick an alternate winner.

  13. Briggs & Stratton, LLC reserves the right to extend or cancel the prize promotion or contest in case of force majeure.

  14. Briggs & Stratton, LLC reserves the right to disqualify users that violate the terms & conditions of the promotion.

  15. All entrants agree to the use of his/her name and entry in any publicity material by Briggs & Stratton LLC.

  16. Personal data such as email addresses and phone numbers will not be used by Briggs & Stratton LLC for promotional purposes unless users voluntarily opt-in.

  17. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
