Vanguard® powered Billy Goat aerators support Boels ecological and performance goals
Freienbach Switzerland, 9 September 2019 – The Billy Goat PL1802V lawn aerator is the latest garden tool to be fitted with the Vanguard 200 6.5 gross hp* engine specially for Netherlands-based Boels Rental. Boels’ request to replace the standard engine with the Vanguard 200 supports its ongoing commitment to deliver its end customers optimal performance and ease of use.

Designed for the rental industry and for use on smaller properties, the 46-cm compact PL1802V cam-driven aerator features reciprocating cam tines that drive cores up to 7 cm deep, even in hard soils. The unit can aerate up to 2.000m2 per hour and is easy to operate without add-on weights. The ergonomic ISO-mounted folding handlebar reduces vibration and allows for compact transport and storage.
Boels is in the process of specifying Vanguard engines in more and more of its rental fleet. “Fitting the aerators with Vanguard 200 engines further reduces vibration and noise, while also extending maintenance intervals,” comments Guy Cremer, Boels’ Director of Fleet Operations. “These engines offer the longest oil and standard air cleaner service intervals in the industry without compromising on performance.”
