With over 35 years’ experience in applying power to commercial applications, from agriculture to construction and unmanned systems, Briggs & Stratton’s commercial brand Vanguard is an established provider of integrated electrified power solutions. The company’s goal is not only to simply provide components but to support customers in applying commercial lithium-ion and petrol power from development to serial production, after sales and training support. In this process, Briggs & Stratton collaborates with technology partners worldwide who assist OEMs in bringing their electrical products to fruition and incorporating Vanguard commercial battery packs into their appliances.
The Nordic Company, HydraSpecma with Head Quarter in Denmark is a market-leading specialist supplier of hydraulic solutions to the aftermarket and OEMs. The company provides end-to-end support within engineering and production, plus the provision of hydraulic and electric solutions, components and products, underpinned by a comprehensive product range and advisory services. HydraSpecma’s products and systems serve multiple industries including wind turbines, generators, commercial vehicles, construction equipment and agricultural machinery.
Briggs & Stratton and HydraSpecma signed a non-exclusive technology partner agreement focused on the design of electrified power solutions. Vanguard batteries will be integrated into HydraSpecma’s low voltage system solutions to meet the needs of its OEM customers. The core focus areas of the agreement cover: conceptualisation, including analysis and simulation, engineering design, including components selection, integration and programming, prototyping and commissioning, industrialisation and knowledge transfer.
As a prominent power and motion solution provider within the Nordics, HydraSpecma operates on a global scale, delivering durable, high-quality products and solutions through joint development. As part of its ongoing innovation and product advancement, the company identified an area for development in battery power for its low voltage system solutions, including municipality vehicles, sweepers and small construction vehicles.
