These conversion kits are designed to seamlessly transition equipment from gasoline to propane fuel. They deliver an EPA- and CARB-certified alternative fuel solution that maintains peak engine performance while solving key jobsite logistics challenges.
Transitioning to propane can offer significant operational and financial advantages for commercial equipment users. With a high 108-octane rating, propane provides strong engine performance while burning more cleanly than traditional fuels. It reduces carbon deposits by up to 80%: extending engine life, keeping spark plugs cleaner and lowering overall routine maintenance costs.
Because propane emits fewer pollutants, crews can continue working on jobsites with emission restrictions that might limit traditional gasoline engines. Additionally, propane’s quick-swap cylinder system eliminates fuel spillage and avoids the downtime associated with filling up at gas stations. Factoring in lower, more predictable fuel prices, switching to propane helps commercial contractors reduce total equipment costs while positioning their business as an environmentally aware option for clients.

Conversion kits can be purchased directly through Propane Power Systems and installed at either the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) facility or through a local Briggs & Stratton dealer. Every kit includes all necessary mounting hardware and undergoes a comprehensive installation review to ensure safety and EPA/CARB compliance. After conversion, PPS becomes the official manufacturer of record for the engine, which is backed by a joint three-year limited commercial warranty* from Vanguard and PPS.
